ACEL members will own the red carpet during our
Hollywood-themed annual meeting and dinner on Oct. 22, and we’d love to have
your business represented. We’re looking for two types of gifts. First, we want three larger-ticket
items ($25-$50 value) to give away for our canned-food drive and best-costume
contests. Second, we’re looking for smaller-ticket items ($2-$5 [...]

ACEL will be hosting a canned-food drive during our annual dinner, and
we invite everyone to participate. For every two cans you donate, you will be
entered into a drawing to win the grand prize of the evening. We want your

On Thursday, Sept. 10, members of the Gainesville Chapter of
the Florida Public Relations Association (FPRA) and the Advertising Federation
of Gainesville (Ad Fed) joined ACEL for our monthly after hours social at the
2-Bits Lounge.
Erin Morton, leader of FPRA’s Member Services Committee,
told the crowd about FPRA, and ACEL and Ad Fed President Derek Lyons gave

ACEL hosted another successful Prepare to ACELerate on Aug.
20, when nearly 30 people showed up for our quarterly member orientation.
Based on member feedback, the orientation was set up in
smaller groups with a more intimate format for introducing current and future
members to ACEL’s eight committees. Members gave suggestions for running this
event more efficiently and ACEL’s Membership [...]

The date of our annual meeting and dinner has moved to
Thursday, Oct. 22, 7:30 p.m., at Tapas 12 West. Please mark your calendars with
the new date.

Time is running out for teams to take advantage of the
lowest price for entry into the 4th Annual Champions for Charity kickball
tournament. Teams that sign up to participate before Sept. 30 pay just $350.
